Five letters to or from William Wilson, Menomonie, Wisconsin. Three date 1864 and concern military matters including the contention of members of the 5th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry that they were entitled to be mustered out of the Army, and the transmittal of volunteer enlistment forms from Albert A. Skinner, George Rossin, Benjamin Mitchell, and Joseph Hart. Both an 1869 letter from Sarah M. Leal of Chicago and an 1888 letter from John F. Spence of Grant Memorial University in Athens, Tenn., express anti-Masonic sentiments.
